Dem'Eaux Roussillon: Approach and tools for an adaptive management of a coastal aquifer

The purpose of this project is to better assess the volumes of water that can be withdrawn from the different layers of the aquifer, today and in the future, taking into account the climate change and territorial dynamics.

This assessment will be based on a 3-dimensional, real-time resource management model. The project involves geologists, hydrogeologists, hydrologists, coastal engineers, economists, geographers and computer scientists. G-eau is involved in 2 tasks: modeling, at the household scale, the effect of pricing policies on drinking water consumption, pumped in these aquifers; analyzing the use of scientific knowledge and tools into management plans for these aquifers.
