As part of the READ'APT project, financed within the Water Agency RMC' call for projects, IRSIC, IRSTEA and the Société du Canal de Provence propose a research project to explore, in a collective exploratory approach, the conditions for the potential integration of reused water in an uncertain local context. This is an action research project organize in two axes:
- A first step is to understand the perceptions and judgments associated with the recycling of wastewater on the territory of Apt. The analysis of the actors and their social representations will be put in perspective with the media treatment to identify what are the discourses that percolate in the public space
- Then, an experimental stage will put the actors in a management situation in order to understand the processes of collective decision-making in relation to reused water. Specific attention will be paid to the construction of spaces of choice as well as the collectivization of these choices.
The overall scientific question focuses on the differentiated impact of informational schemes and mechanisms, including participatory role-play approaches, on the appropriation of REUSE alternatives in water management, and possibly on decisions implementation.
