RESUME / SUMMARY

Stefano Farolfi est un économiste de l’eau (HDR) au CIRAD, UMR G-Eau. Il s’intéresse particulièrement aux questions liées à la négociation, à la réglementation et à la coordination dans la gouvernance de l’eau, ainsi qu’à l’analyse comportementale des acteurs de l’eau. Il anime actuellement l’équipe PRECOS (https://www.g-eau.fr/index.php/fr/umr-geau/les-equipes/item/416-pratiques-representations-sociales-et-comportements-au-sein-des-socio-hydrosystemes-precos) sur les pratiques, les représentations sociales et les comportements des acteurs de l’eau. Entre 2014 et 2020, Stefano était DUa CIRAD à l’UMR G-Eau. Il a été précédemment en poste huit ans au Centre d’Economie et Politique de l’Environnement en Afrique (CEEPA), à l’Université de Pretoria, et quatre ans au Centre International pour l’Economie et la Gouvernance de l’Eau en Afrique (IWEGA), à l’Université E Mondlane de Maputo. Stefano a contribué à la mise en place de ce centre, dont il a été le directeur scientifique pendant son séjour à Maputo.

Stefano Farolfi is a senior water economist at CIRAD UMR G-Eau. His main research interests refer to the negotiation, regulatory, and coordination aspects of water management and to the behavioural analysis of water stakeholders. He currently coordinates the G-Eau team PRECOS that focuses on the analysis of water stakeholders’ practices, representations, and behaviours (http://www.g-eau.fr/index.php/en/umr-g-eau/teams/item/416-practices-social-representations-and-behaviours-within-socio-hydrosystems-precos). Between 2014 and 2020, Stefano was the Cirad Deputy Director at G-Eau. He previously spent 8 years at the CEEPA/University of Pretoria and 4 years at the IWEGA Center in Maputo (University E Mondlane), which he contributed to establish.

 

FORMATION / TRAINING

  • Annual EDEG PhD module on models and games for CPR analysis : the case of water (with K Erdlenbruch - CEEM) (20h).
  • Annual course for MSc and PhD on experimental and stated preference methods for natural resource economics at CEEPA/UP (with D Jourdain) (40h).
  • Annual course on water economics and governance at the SARChI chair-CPUT, Cape Town (20h).
